Humanitarian Fab Labs
Working with Terre de Hommes we created a new group called The Resilience Collective to focus on opportunities and solutions Fab Labs and digital fabrication can bring to humanitarian and development situations.
Working with various organizations (IOM, the Kenya Red Cross) we created safe and open spaces for education, informal learning and development.
We created Fab Labs equipped with different tools and materials ranging from full setups (laser cutter, vinyl cutter, large and small milling machines, 3D printers and comprehensive tools for electronics and more) to small spaces for workshops and introductions to digital tools (with computers, vinyl cutters and 3D printers).
Working with different partners we created spaces in Burkina Faso, Hungary, Ukraine, Djibouti, Kenya, Gaza, Morocco, Guinea and Greece, for audiences ranging from refugees and under served youth to young people in illegal mining.
